Job Summary

Develop mechanical system layouts and construction documents using Revit, IESVE, and equipment selection software. Produce detailed HVAC, process piping, and building mechanical designs in accordance with project requirements and engineering direction. Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams while assisting with BIM coordination, model updates, and clash resolution. Incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions accurately and efficiently to support multiple projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines. Maintain organized, complete, and consistent design documentation. This pure design role supports complex, high-profile projects across healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial markets for a 130-year-old family-owned construction management firm.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • at least two years of Design experience
  • Intermediate expertise and experience in the current release of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience producing construction documents for industrial, commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or similar building types
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, components, and layouts
  • Ability to design piping systems for various liquids and gases
  • Ability to work from engineering direction and design criteria
  • Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
