Job Summary
The Mechanical Designer will provide mechanical design solutions in an automation environment, collaborating with Production and Engineering teams. Responsibilities include designing jigs and fixtures using SolidWorks, preparing detailed drawings, and supporting production teams. A focus on mentorship and transitioning to independently managing designs is expected, with opportunities for growth from junior to senior positions.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist/Technician (BSc. P. Eng. or CET.) recent or in progress
- 3 - 5+ years of direct working experience with automated welding and assembly equipment
- 5 - 8+ years of direct working experience with automated welding and assembly equipment
