Mechanical Designer II

Job Summary
Provide piping design and develop construction documents including PFDs, P&ID's, plans, sections, isometrics, and bills of materials for midstream oil and gas, industrial, and commercial clients. Coordinate with engineering disciplines and construction personnel while ensuring cost, quality, schedule, and safety considerations are integrated from commencement through completion. Address construction issues, visit project sites to gather data, and engage in multiple simultaneous projects. Maintain internal and external networks to stay informed of new developments and proactively work on best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Previous piping design/drafting experience (3-6 years)
- Past experience including diverse experience and a variety of project types
- The ability to plan, organize and communicate with team members and client representatives
- The ability to work extended hours as needed to meet critical deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD version 2024 and CADWorx2023 and Navisworx 3D piping software
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS SharePoint
- Visiting the project site as needed to gather data
- Travel (approximately 10%) as needed to support projects
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Plant 3D and Autodesk Revit software
