Job Summary
Design and develop custom crane systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks, adapting 3D models for project drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure designs meet customer needs, safety regulations, and industry standards such as CMAA and ANSI/ASME. Perform field surveys, fabrication shop inspections, and quality checks while executing root cause analysis for shop problems. Create detailing, operation and maintenance manuals, and As-Built drawings to support project submittals and fabrication. This full-time remote role requires Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. hours.
Required Qualifications
- SolidWorks Professional Certification (CSWP)
- Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE) credential
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience
- Crane Design experience
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate degree, or Technical certificate
- Experience with PDM and part creation
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Legacy AutoCAD utilization
- In depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Understanding of basic engineering principles
- Familiar with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, OSHA specifications & requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Proof of right to lawfully work in the United States
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
