Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, you will collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to design innovative HVAC systems for various building types, including K-12 schools, retail spaces, hospitals, and commercial offices. Responsibilities include producing mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit, performing field investigations, ensuring quality control, scheduling, and programming, while coordinating communication with the MEP team. Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated facilitation experience and must possess strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design and construction
- Solid understanding of duct design, piping design, air handlers, chiller, and boiler systems
- Experience with performing load calculations, equipment selection and design, wet and dry side system design
- Knowledge of CBC, CMC and CPC codes, DDC controls, Title 24, HAP or Energy Pro
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in design and specifications
