Job Summary
Prepare mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, developing detailed models and drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection systems. Support senior designers in creating complete drawing packages while performing heating, ventilation, and cooling load calculations. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, external vendors, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate documentation and technical coordination from concept through construction. Participate in occasional local travel based on project requirements. This role contributes to the design and delivery of sustainable buildings within the Property & Buildings team, working closely with a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in BIM modelling and mechanical system design
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Understanding of applicable building codes and standards
- Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Participate in occasional local travel based on project requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing building mechanical systems (healthcare experience is an asset)
