Mechanical Design / Stress Engineer (Working Student Possible)
On-site · Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Job Summary
Architect, design and develop core mechanical subsystems for our drill bit and drilling system—from initial concept to market launch. Lead FEA-driven analysis of static loads, fatigue life, thermal-mechanical coupling, and failure modes under extreme conditions. Build prototypes, define test infrastructure from scratch, and conduct testing and validation to progressively prove and de-risk the technology. Integrate HV, thermal, and fluid systems into a robust drilling assembly. Set up and improve development processes with an eye on design, manufacturing and future operations. Flexible initial engagement model (full-time, part-time, or advisory). Location: Munich, Germany. Ready to help redefine how we drill into the Earth.
