Mechanical Design Engineering

Mechanical Design Engineering I at Westinghouse focusing on designing mechanical systems and components for traditional nuclear markets and new projects. Responsibilities include developing 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for complex electro-mechanical tooling; assembly and testing of custom equipment through design evolution from prototype to finished product; developing test procedures to ensure design compliance; operating final tooling systems at customer facilities; mentoring junior engineers; performing hand calculations and analyses (including FEA) to qualify systems against codes and standards; preparing design reports and technical specifications. Located at Burlington, ON or Kitchener, ON or Peterborough, ON in a hybrid role with onsite work 2 days per week. Requires a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0-2 years of experience; base salary 62,400 to 78,000 CAD per year.
