Job Summary
Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing parts and equipment to meet customer specifications, generating 3D models and BOMs, performing engineering calculations, and collaborating with electrical/process engineering groups. Involves involvement in R&D, prototyping, analysis, and applications engineering support, with emphasis on test fixtures, production fixtures, product revision, and new product design, plus participation in new product development and quality control. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, extensive design engineering experience (especially with injection-molded parts, electro-mechanical design, or medical components), and proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks or AutoCAD).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical
- Extensive experience working in design engineering; preference for injection molded parts, electro-mechanical design and/or medical industry components
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail
- Aptitude for problem solving
