Job Summary
Design F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies using solid modeling, surface modeling, and 2D drawing to achieve high-performance, reliable solutions for suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, and cooling systems. Manage equipment for car homologation and trackside legality checks, including pit stop equipment. Execute day-to-day tasks efficiently within agreed timescales while adhering to strict safety protocols, organizational policies, and relevant legislation. Collaborate with stakeholders, respond to queries, and contribute ideas to improve processes and ways of working. Maintain composure in high-pressure environments involving extended hours, weekends, and potential international travel.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience
- 1 year of work experience in a professional motorsports' environment
- Further education including Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Education and work experience in mechanical design
- Have an excellent understanding of English language
- Strong technical background in racing car
- Knowledge of the correct method to use tools and equipment
- Comfortable with extensive travel and irregular working hours, including weekends and race days
- Adherence to strict safety protocols
- Completion of all mandatory compliance training (including health and safety, data protection, and role-specific regulatory training)
- Security cleared to National Security Vetting standards
- UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years

- Composite engineering education
- CAD Systems: CATIA V5/V6
- PLM: Windchill/3DX
