Job Summary
Design mechanical systems for custom automation equipment, create 3D models and detailed drawings, and develop production-ready documentation. Collaborate with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to move designs from concept through build, test, and deployment, applying a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to solving design challenges and contributing to continuous improvement. Travel is expected to support projects and customer needs, with 15–30% travel anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience in automation or custom machinery
- Strong CAD skills, ideally in SolidWorks or Solid Edge
- Experience creating assemblies, drawings, and production-ready documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally and solve design challenges efficiently
- Hands-on, practical mindset with strong attention to detail
