Job Summary
Mechanical Design Engineer focused on robotics: design and develop mechanisms, assemblies, and electromechanical systems; collaborate with electrical/software teams; prototype, test, and iterate to meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets; use SolidWorks to create 3D models, drawings, and designs; perform simulations and FEA to ensure reliability and safety; contribute to design reviews and stay current with robotics advances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or automation
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles (statics, dynamics, material properties)
- Experience with FEA, simulations, and mechanical stress analysis tools
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal manufacturing, injection molding)
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronics systems is highly desirable
