Job Summary
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. The role requires applying engineering principles to create various products such as engines, instruments, and machines. Key qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in CAD design using CATIA V5, along with a solid understanding of internal combustion engines, turbochargers, casting, and machining processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years minimum experience of CAD design with CATIA V5
- in lieu of degree, 5 years minimum experience of CAD design with CATIA V5
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD design specifically using CATIA V5
- Understanding of internal combustion engines and turbochargers
- Experience in casting and machine processes
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing ASME Y14.5-1994
