Job Summary
Mechanical Design Engineer to design and model cutting-edge material handling products. Proficient in CAD (SOLIDWORKS) with strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving. Responsibilities include creating product models/drawings, BOMs, and schematics; developing system and component designs to meet customer needs; presenting designs to customers and project managers; integrating manufacturing best practices with experienced fabricators; ensuring compliance with industry safety standards; creating documentation and documentation including BOMs, part drawings, assembly drawings, and schematics; managing project estimates, scope, and budget; and communicating with suppliers to achieve function and price objectives. Requires ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver timely results.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a degree in mechanical design; BSME is preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD platform
- Proven skills as a key contributor for concept and design development
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with others
- Experience in hydraulics / pneumatics / electro-mechanical design
- Project management
- APQP/PPAP quality experience a plus
- Cost reduction experience a plus
- Sales background a plus
