Job Summary
The Mechanical Design Engineer at Jabil will develop new engineering designs of basic to moderate complexity, gathering design requirements and recommending steps for implementation. Responsibilities include performing chassis design, analyzing mechanical designs, and developing chassis layouts using standard 3D CAD tools. The role requires knowledge of specific component industry standards, and familiarity with mechanical engineering design specializations such as Tolerance Analysis and DFM. The position necessitates strong collaboration with senior engineers and external suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME/MSME or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in mechanical design and/or verification
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Manufacturing Principles, Interference Checks
- Ability to influence others and share best practices
- Experience working as part of a global team
