Job Summary

Mechanical Design Engineer II focused on integrating electrical components within the main cabin seating, designing major components or portions of functional systems, and creating CAD drawings (NX) to verify fit, form, and function. Responsibilities include preparing work statements for electrical integration, directing outsource resources, verifying system configurations and block diagrams, testing prototypes for reliability and FAA certification, evaluating materials and parts, and collaborating with electrical integration, design engineering, vendors, and project teams to meet vendor and OEM requirements. Experience with Siemens NX or other 3D CAD software and familiarity with DFMA principles, Teamcenter/PDM, and FAA-related design considerations are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in design using Siemens NX or other 3D CAD software
  • Experience integrating electrical components (routing, harnesses, and mechanical installations)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
