Job Summary
Mechanical Design Engineer I to design, verify, and support the mechanical aspects of medium voltage, mobile power transformers and mobile substations. Create 3D core and coil designs using the EAP, generate internal shop drawings, develop connection diagrams, and lead routing with Autodesk Inventor. Produce material usage files for ERP integration, provide production support, and expand responsibilities to external transformer parts, tank drawings, and programming for plasma and wood routing machines. Must have CAD proficiency, knowledge of power transformer design and standards, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0–5 years of combined experience in power transformer design and engineering, with at least 2 years focused on mechanical design
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer for U.S. based positions
