Job Summary
The Mechanical Design Engineer – Fluid Process will design fluid process equipment and systems, including integrated wash and sanitization systems and fluid process supply skids. Responsibilities include creating conceptual designs, documenting designs with P&IDs and 3D models, and applying knowledge of liquid food processing standards. The role requires collaboration with various departments, handling technical resource tasks during the quoting process, and ensuring designs minimize costs while supporting client needs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of relevant engineering experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of fluid dynamics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent
- 4 years engineering experience
- Solid background in fluid dynamics, flows, pumps, valves, chemical blending, and temperature management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PC/Computer skills including word processing, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications
- Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in packaging industry
- Process design experience
- Background in chemical controls or field maintenance
