Mechanical Design Engineer
On-siteHigh Peak, England, United Kingdom
Job Summary
Design precision mechanical components and assemblies for RF modules, including lightweight enclosures, heatsinks, and liquid cooling solutions. Develop modular architectures for integration into larger payloads while ensuring designs meet RF, thermal, and environmental requirements. Perform thermal analysis using CFD and structural validation via FEA to optimize cooling strategies and validate load cases. Collaborate with RF and systems engineers to optimize cavity geometry, surface finishes, and material selection for high-frequency performance. Generate manufacturing documentation, including GD&T drawings and bills of materials, to support CNC machining, die-casting, and additive manufacturing processes. Manage engineering drawings, support supplier development, and contribute to design reviews within ISO and NPI frameworks.
