Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 8+ years of experience in aerospace leading mechanical design projects from concept through manufacturing and testing. You will lead design projects for aerospace components and systems (airframe, propulsion, landing gear, flight controls), generate 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation, participate in design reviews, manage suppliers during manufacturing, select standard parts following best practices, contribute to DMU and configuration management, and apply ISO GD&T and Siemens NX/TeamCenter PLM skills.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes (machining, sheet metal forming, composites, additive manufacturing)
- Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge (Part design, DWGs, DMU management)
- Good engineering material properties knowledge
- Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills (dimensioning calculations, load path definitions, basic stress calculations, energy and power)
- Seal and fastener design knowledge
- Auxiliary component selection – general electro/mechanical components
- ISO GD&T knowledge required
- Fluent in English as working language
- Proficiency in Siemens tool suite - NX and TeamCenter PLM system
