Job Summary
Create SolidWorks models, drawings, and P&ID diagrams for advanced and custom systems to meet customer requirements. Develop technical specifications, machine part handling proposals, and liquid delivery system concepts while coordinating with vendors and subcontractors. Manage project-related information, organize file-sharing databases, and collaborate with Engineering, Applications Engineering, and the Machine Shop to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly. Communicate with customers regarding custom tooling, design reviews, and ongoing coordination, providing feedback on design improvement opportunities. This role resides within the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team at Sono-Tek, a leader in ultrasonic coating solutions since 1975.
Required Qualifications
- BS in an engineering discipline
- 3-5 years of direct engineering experience
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and automation concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to travel, including internationally, to customer and vendor sites

- Foreign language skills
