Job Summary

Lead creative, multi-disciplinary projects to design Starlink consumer hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and public launch. Own the hardware development lifecycle, develop design criteria, and drive system-level optimization. Test and iterate to ensure high field reliability and performance across environments. Design and develop production lines, including robot end effector design, process development, control systems, automation, and more. Refine the production system to achieve high yield and cost-effective integration, coordinating with partner teams from supply chain through final assembly. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and proficiency with CAD and FEA; preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of mechanical design/analysis experience, and hands-on leadership on complex systems. Additional ITAR requirements apply; candidate must meet US working-authority criteria. Ability to work long hours and weekends to support critical milestones. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 1+ years of professional experience with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing (internship experience is applicable)
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
