Mechanical Design Engineer

Direct and participate in the design and development of new product concepts and complex engineering projects for release to production, ensuring superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability. Lead and coordinate design, analysis, and computer simulation efforts; prepare development plans and manage schedules; interact with Plant locations and various engineering departments; conduct technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products; coordinate product tests with proof design and prototype build-up; provide guidance to other engineers to meet development deadlines; evaluate and resolve design/manufacturing problems; travel to foreign and domestic plants, dealerships, customer job sites, and field-test locations to support product improvements; maintain awareness of latest technological advancements and contribute design concepts that may be patented; frequent worldwide travel to suppliers, production plants, dealerships, customer sites, and field test locations.
