Job Summary
Support production of kinematic spindle probes and associated interfaces by solving engineering problems and delivering quality improvements. Perform reactive support for manufacture and assembly, including engineering drafting, CAD model updates, and BOM verification. Liaise with customers and subsidiaries to investigate root causes and report efficiently. Lead continuous improvement projects such as upgrades, obsolescence management, and cost reduction. Collaborate with embedded software and electronics teams while capturing and documenting critical technical requirements. Drive formalized design change management processes.
Required Qualifications
- HND/Degree
- proven industrial design experience within a mechanical design environment
- 3D CAD/CAM (Siemens NX preferable)
- aptitude for problem solving down to root cause level
- ability to develop solutions for complex problems
- Experience of industry standard drafting practices and principles
- Effective communicator at both a technical and project level to all stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of machine tool products and their applications
- Experience and knowledge of the product development lifecycle
- Experience with using ERP systems
- Understanding of FEA and results
