Mechanical Coordinator - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

Job Summary
Coordinate mechanical and electrical activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams while reviewing construction progress to ensure quality, schedule, and project requirements are met. Manage RFIs, shop drawings, equipment tracking, and technical documentation, and monitor procurement activities to expedite critical deliveries. Support project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and budgeting by reviewing subcontractor quotations. Lead commissioning activities, start-up, testing, and owner training, then track deficiencies to drive projects through successful closeout. Work with project leadership to proactively resolve construction challenges before impacting the schedule. This role offers long-term stability on large, technically challenging water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 4+ years of experience coordinating mechanical systems on construction projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical construction processes, equipment installation, and commissioning
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam or similar construction software
Desired Qualifications
- P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation
- Experience working on water, wastewater, industrial, or heavy civil infrastructure projects
