Job Summary
Coordinate all Mechanical & Piping construction activities to ensure safe execution per HSE policy. Supervise and review Contractor method statements, lifting plans, work-packs, NDE reports, material traceability, and non-conformance reports. Witness inspections and testing for pipe fabrication, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, and hydrostatic/pneumatic tests. Verify NDT procedures, dimensional checks, bolt torqueing, and flange management. Prepare Value of Work Done reports and review management of change submissions. Attend pre-commissioning walkdowns and Ready for start-up reviews to input punch lists and close out Mechanical Completion. Input weekly reports on all construction aspects. Reports to the Construction Manager for the Miran Gas Plant Early Production Facility & Gathering system EPC Construction. Requires 10+ years of experience in Iraq and MENA regions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced understanding of Piping fabrication, welding and testing
- Experience in interpreting Construction scheduling and estimating software
- Minimum of 10 years in a role as Construction Superintendent in Iraq and MENA region
- Prior experience in Fast Track Gas Processing plant projects in Kurdistan and MENA region
- Demonstrable experience in with Inspections, Punch-listing & pre-commissioning activities to achieve Mechanical Completion
- Ability to fully comply with the Companies HSE Policies and standards to minimize Construction related LTI and incidents
- Ability to travel to site
- acceptable level of mobility and fitness to carry essential safety equipment (escape sets)
Desired Qualifications
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI – For welding inspection preferred
