Mechanical Commodity Manager (Onsite)

Job Summary
Commodity Manager responsible for owning supplier performance and category strategies in Scottsdale, onsite 4–5 days per week with up to 20% travel. Lead supplier negotiations, contract terms, and supply agreements; drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supply continuity; collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management, Demand Planning, and Sales Operations to align supplier readiness with product launches and demand. Partner with Demand Planning to communicate forecasts; optimize inventory and working capital through replenishment and MOQ negotiation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of procurement/sourcing/category management experience; APICS/ISM/PMP/Six Sigma certifications are preferred. Reports to Director, Global Strategic Sourcing; no direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, commodity management, or category management
- Experience managing supplier relationships in a manufacturing, hardware, or operations-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and suppliers at multiple levels
