Job Summary
Mechanical Commissioning Lead for Data Centers responsible for leading multiple commissioning projects, ensuring adherence to commissioning standards, developing SOPs/MOPs, compiling comprehensive commissioning documentation, and interfacing with clients, vendors, and testing technicians. The role requires technical leadership of commissioning teams, field troubleshooting, verification of test reports, and experience with power and MEP systems (HVAC, Chillers, CRAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators). Candidates should have 5-10+ years in electrical/mechanical commissioning, exposure to IEEE/ASHRAE procedures, and strong written/verbal communication skills. Travel up to 50-70% (10-20% if based near a major data center) and willingness to work in data-center environments is required. EO E/AA employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus
- 5 to 10+ years experience in Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning
- Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning
- Experience managing commissioning teams
- Experience with IEEE / ASHRAE procedures and protocols
- Strong communication skills
- Military/veteran experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel 50-70% (or 10-20% if based near a major Data Center)
- Must live near a major airport
- Open to travel
- Data Center / Mission Critical experience a must
