Job Summary
Mechanical Commissioning Engineer responsible for on-site commissioning of mechanical and MEP systems for data-center projects. Execute commissioning plans, develop SOPs and MOPs, create and maintain commissioning documentation, prepare test procedures and reports, and conduct level 1-5 commissioning. Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and submittals; develop and administer functional tests for HVAC, Chiller, and CRAC systems; perform integrated system testing and load bank testing; generate recommendations to optimize building operations; manage external resources, lead commissioning meetings, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners’ agents. Requires strong written/verbal communication, experience with data-center/mission-critical environments, and travel willingness.
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years experience in Mechanical / HVAC field
- P.E or EIT a plus
- LEED Accreditation a huge plus
- BA/BS as a Mechanical Engineer a plus
- Experience commissioning enterprise data centers, colos, and hyperscale companies
- A/E experience in complex facilities or mission critical projects a big plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experience with ASHRAE / ASHRAE TC 9.9 procedures a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
