Job Summary
Conduct technical supervision, coordination, verification, and design of mechanical building systems projects from concept to construction completion. Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, energy-efficient solutions for institutional, office, commercial, cultural, and residential sectors while connecting with clients to understand their needs. Survey existing installations, analyze and adapt building-related systems, prepare client reports, and manage project relationships. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or building engineering, five years of design experience, and membership in good standing with PEO. Offers a 37.5-hour workweek with flexible scheduling, hybrid work policy, and a competitive hourly salary range of $40 to $54.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (specializing in building) or building engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design
- Member in good standing of PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario)
- Eligibility to get a Government of Canada Reliability Status
- Capability to write reports, complete site visits, and design mechanical and plumbing systems with minimum supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative spirit and positive leadership to influence technical decisions and client relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP heat loads calculations software
