Job Summary
Mechanical Automation Engineer to lead mechanical design and integration of robotic automation systems. Responsibilities include leading mechanical design with SolidWorks & PDM, designing robotic cells, EOATs, feeders, material-handling systems; sizing actuators, sensors, and pneumatics; performing reach studies and cycle-time analyses; leading design reviews; producing detailed drawings; supporting sales with RFQs and technical proposals; integrating robotics with controls/electrical/software teams; managing vendors; leading build, FAT/SAT and onsite installation; ensuring safety and generating documentation.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics preferred)
- 6+ years in Mechanical Design & Sales support within the industrial automation sector
- 3+ years at a robotic system integrator
- SolidWorks + PDM expert
- Deep experience with actuators, servos, pneumatics, sensors
- Proven GD&T skills
- Strong understanding of machining & fabrication
- Robotic automation cell design (assembly, handling, palletizing, etc.)
- FAT/SAT + installation experience
- Strong communication and vendor-coordination skills
