Job Summary
Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software alongside the engineering team on projects of equal complexity to full-time roles. Demonstrate the ability to personally design and develop systems from scratch, utilizing CAD and analytical tools for stress or thermal analysis where applicable. Contribute to electromechanical system design and control system modeling to support the company's mission of providing secure, dedicated satellite networks to global customers. This twelve-week salaried opportunity is open to recent graduates with a bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical fields.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree (e.g. physics or applied math)
- Passion and enthusiasm for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD
- Experience with analytical software such as stress or thermal analysis
- Experience with electromechanical system design and specification
- Experience with control system modeling and design
