Job Summary
Lead Associate Engineer role in building mechanical engineering within a consulting firm. Responsibilities include leadership of a mechanical engineering team, mentoring staff, driving business development and client relationships, coordinating project delivery and management (including budgets and schedules), supporting multiple engineering teams on HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems, contributing to scope and fee determinations, and representing the team in leadership meetings. Requires Professional Engineer registration in Ontario with 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience and strong communication and project-management skills; LEED accreditation is preferred but not essential.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer with registration in Ontario
- 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience managing a team
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and/or plumbing requirements per building codes, energy codes, and related standards
- LEED Accredited Professional is preferred but not essential
