Job Summary
Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software alongside the engineering team on projects of equal complexity to full-time roles. Personally design and test hardware from scratch, contributing to the company's five operational satellites and upcoming launches. Work within a fast-paced environment to support the development of secure networks for global customers. This twelve-week summer role is for recent bachelor's degree holders in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical fields. Applicants must hold U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status.
Required Qualifications
- four-year degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree (e.g. physics or applied math)
- passion and enthusiasm for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD
- Experience with analytical software such as stress or thermal analysis
- Experience with electromechanical system design and specification
- Experience with control system modeling and design
