Job Summary
Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software alongside the engineering team on projects of equal complexity to full-time roles. Demonstrate the ability to personally design and develop systems from scratch, focusing on hard problems in a fast-paced environment. This twelve-week, salaried position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or an equivalent technical field. Applicants must hold U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status to comply with space technology export regulations. Bonus points include experience with CAD, analytical software for stress or thermal analysis, electromechanical system design, and control system modeling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree (e.g. physics or applied math)
- Passion and enthusiasm for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status
