Job Summary
Conduct thorough mechanical inspections of vehicles, assessing engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and other essential components using diagnostic equipment and visual techniques. Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues such as engine malfunctions and electrical failures, then accurately document findings for transparent disclosure to buyers. Record inspection results and repair activities using proprietary software systems while adhering to company standards for integrity and accuracy. Collaborate with Vehicle Inspectors, Cosmetic Inspectors, and Auction Coordinators to facilitate workflow coordination and support efficient auction operations. Provide professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding vehicle condition and repair status. Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience in automotive mechanical inspection, diagnostics, and light repair work
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, and computerized systems for vehicle inspection and repair tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Travel required to DFW for training
Desired Qualifications
