Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will perform assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery. Job responsibilities include reading and following mechanical assembly drawings, aligning, fitting, assembling, connecting, and installing system components, adjusting and repairing parts, and potentially performing basic electrical repairs. Candidates must have strong mechanical aptitude and experience with assembly and maintenance. Reliability and punctuality are required.
Required Qualifications
- Read and follow mechanical assembly drawings and schematics
- Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components
- Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions
- Under direction, may perform some basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting
- Understand and meet company quality standards and objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of mechanical/maintenance experience, preferably in assembly
- Experience working with mechanical assembly projects
- Maintenance experience in Auto/Diesel, Mechanical Service, and/or Fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Blueprint and mechanical schematic reading capabilities
- Ability to perform physical job duties that may require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and working in cramped spaces
- Ability to lift light and heavy weight supplies and materials up to 40 pounds
