Job Summary
Mechanical Assembly Technician responsible for assembling and installing electrical components and equipment on electrical equipment such as E-houses, LACT units, metering skids, switch gear, and MCC houses, including cabling, buss bar fabrication, door/siding work, and related assembly tasks on a night shift (2:00 PM–12:30 AM). Functions include interpreting drawings, measuring/cutting/bending materials, assembling sub-assemblies, ensuring conformance to specifications, performing basic troubleshooting, and maintaining quality during final assembly; requires High School Diploma and at least one year of skilled-labor experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, proficiency with hand tools, ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs, and flexibility to travel up to 5%. Works Monday–Thursday with a 40-hour week and adheres to safety and IE Core Values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma + 1 year experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or equivalent
- Ability to read wiring schematics and layout diagrams
- Experience with hand tools
- Detail-oriented
- Team-oriented
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
