Job Summary
Mechanical Assembly Technician II assembles exterior structural components and installs siding, roofing, doors, HVACs, and electrical gear on skids/e houses, aligning complex frameworks and mounting auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities include installing exterior panels and door assemblies, weatherproofing and caulking, performing accurate measurements and cuts, rigging and lifting heavy components, assembling cable trays and support infra, inspecting quality, and coordinating prep for shipping. Requires reading prints/schematics, following production schedules, operating tools and equipment (e.g., overhead crane, forklift), and maintaining a safe work environment. Must have a High School Diploma and 1-3 years in heavy industrial manufacturing or construction, with OSHA forklift and overhead crane certification or ability to obtain, and be able to work a 40-hour week with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing operations or construction or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- OSHA forklift and Overhead Crane certification or ability to obtain such
- Ability to read prints and basic mechanical schematics/drawings and specification charts
- Must be able to read, and understand production schedules and quality specifications; ability to write NCRs and comply with safety rules
- Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to work a 40 hour work week with overtime as necessary
- Ability to operate tools and equipment including overhead crane, forklift, hoists, sand blaster as needed
- Must possess or obtain required safety certifications and adhere to IE safety programs
