Job Summary
Perform chassis upgrades on Sprinter vehicles, including suspension improvements, four-wheel-drive conversions, and living quarter installations. Install custom aftermarket components like bumpers, winches, and diesel heating systems while executing light fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and welding. Verify alignment, torque specifications, and operational function using precision measuring instruments to ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards. Read detailed mechanical drawings and schematics to execute builds according to engineering specifications, working independently with occasional team collaboration. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to maintain production efficiency and supply chain smoothness.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive experience
- Valid driver's license
- AAS Technical/Trade degree or associate degree

- AAS Technical/Trade degree or associate degree preferred
- Diesel training
- General knowledge of computers, electrical assembly, basic electronic troubleshooting, mechanical assembly and repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and/or audio-visual equipment operation
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications
- Willingness and ability to learn additional technical skills within the automotive and manufacturing industries
- Able to follow process instructions accurately and consistently
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated, able to take responsibility, and a flexible attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid certification (e.g. ASE)
