Job Summary
Lead a team of mechanical assemblers to build frames, enclosures, and components for Gutor’s UPS systems; oversee daily work, ensure safety and quality, and drive productivity and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include hands-on mechanical assembly, aligning parts to drawings, installing brackets and hardware with precision tools, preparing mounting surfaces, and assembling cable trays and supports. Manage quality checks, maintain build records, and provide redlines for drawing errors. As a Team Lead, assign tasks, train and coach team members, conduct daily safety huddles, enforce PPE/LOTO, monitor takt time and delivery, coordinate with Material Handlers, and collaborate with Electrical, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues. Lead 5S and kaizen events, standardize work instructions, reduce rework, and improve first-pass yield. Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5+ years in mechanical assembly, ability to read drawings, familiarity with precision measuring tools, safety-literate, leadership experience, US work authorization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 3–5+ years of mechanical assembly experience in industrial or power systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
- Proficient with hand tools, torque tools, and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in team coordination or leadership.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Gutor in the US.
