Job Summary
Build complex automated standalone machines and large multi-station systems by assembling components according to drawings, manuals, and verbal instructions. Test, troubleshoot, and debug equipment while collaborating with engineers to diagnose defects and implement corrective actions. Consult on engineering changes, redline drawings and schematics, and layout hole locations for drilling and tapping. Align mechanical components using hoists, operate machines to verify functionality against customer specifications, and perform modifications with hand and power tools. Provide feedback to engineering on modifications and record changes on technical documentation. Maintain a safe, clean work environment while complying with all quality and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in automation or related experience in manufacturing
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability and willingness to obtain Passport
- Ability to work from work orders, blueprints, electrical diagrams and equipment manuals and instructions
- Experience in building new electro-mechanical machinery, preferably packaging machinery
- Understanding of the metric measurement system
- Ability to assemble mechanical assemblies and machines
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Aptitude and willingness to be a self-starter
- Willingness to work as required to meet schedules
- Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 30%
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
