Job Summary

Assemble basic and moderately complex mechanical parts using hand and power tools to fasten hardware, ensuring proper torque and alignment. Inspect components meticulously for defects against strict quality standards while maintaining accurate records of tasks and deviations. Utilize overhead cranes, ladders, and material handling equipment to position materials, adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly. Complete in-house training to read blueprints and Bills of Materials, meeting department targets within predetermined time constraints. Work in a production environment requiring precise manipulation of small objects and continuous attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of experience in assembly with a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes
  • Proficient in performing precise and delicate tasks using hands and fingers
  • Able to manipulate small objects, operate tools, and handle intricate equipment effectively
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently
  • Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate measurements and weights
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools
  • Ability and willingness to follow Health, Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team
  • Capable of embracing diversity and equity to ensure they contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles
  • Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs
  • Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes
  • Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees
  • Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs
  • Day Shift: Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:00 pm (40hrs per week)
  • Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday; 4:00 pm- 2:00 am (38hrs per week)
  • Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday; 6:00 am- 6:00 pm (36hrs per week)

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs)
