Mechanical Assembler

Mechanical Assembler responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems per engineering drawings and specifications, performing functional and pressure testing, recording results with traceability, and coordinating with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues. Must read technical drawings/method sheets, work with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges), and have attention to detail and commitment to quality. Desirable experience in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, basic computer literacy for documentation, and willingness to work in a workshop environment with potential overtime. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) is required; apprenticeship in mechanical fitting is advantageous; additional certifications in pressure testing or lifting operations (LOLER) are a plus. Role requires SC clearance or the ability to obtain it; location is Havant, UK, with a permanent, workshop-based role and potential overtime.
