Job Summary
Assemble, install, align, and service new and existing industrial machinery and equipment, including scissor lift builds, screw/jack installations, and belt and chain drive applications. Read blueprints and technical drawings to guide accurate assembly, then operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and various hand and power tools to complete large equipment erection. Troubleshoot machinery, apply hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge, and ensure all testing and procedures are evaluated safely. Work directly with the Manufacturing Supervisor, Manager, or Lead Hand, taking direction and managing tasks independently when supervision is unavailable. Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety, Quality Management Systems, and company policies while supporting team goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machine assembly and/or service technician functions if not certified
- Strong technical background working with new and existing industrial machinery
- Experience with scissor lift builds, screw/jack installations, alignment, belt and chain drives, and large equipment erection
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Extensive experience operating overhead cranes, including slinging and rigging, and forklifts
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 25% annually, including international travel
- Strong team-driven attitude, work ethic, and professional approach
- Ability to follow direction while also working independently when required
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety, quality, and company policies
Desired Qualifications
- 433A Industrial Millwright certification is an asset
- Strong machine assembly experience may be considered in place of certification
- Some previous travel experience is considered an asset
- Hydraulics and pneumatics experience is considered an asset
