Job Summary
Mechanical Assembler assembles, installs, and adjusts components on units according to drawings and customer specifications, using hand tools, fixtures, and test devices. Responsibilities include reading drawings, positioning components, inspecting products, preparing and cleaning work areas, and ensuring correct paint colors per specifications. Shifts available: Day (6:00-4:30pm) and Evening (4:30pm-3:00am). May install windows, doors, handles, drains or other accessories; perform to schedule and document traveler details; follow safety practices; perform additional duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Flexibility and ability to work under production pressure.
- Ability to work in cooperation with other team members.
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, work on knees for extended periods of time, work on ladders at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in enclosed spaces for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements.
