Job Summary
Actively participate in installation or assembly of trade-specific material and equipment in the shop, building, or jobsite. Assist with setup and operation of trade-specific equipment and machinery. Keep work area clean and restock supplies. Join and contribute to RK Mechanical’s Apprenticeship Program and gain real job-site experience toward becoming a journeyman. Collaborate with teammates, maintain safety standards, build professional relationships with colleagues and clients, and perform other duties as assigned to develop hands-on skills in sheet metal and mechanical trades.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED or equivalent combination of skills and experience preferred but not required
- Aptitude to learn the proper use of equipment, tools, and materials
- Able to receive direct supervision and guidance
- Able to be flexible in work activities, location and hours of work
- Confident communication and ability to handle stressful situations
- General knowledge of trade specific equipment and machinery preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues
- Must be able to lift, move and/or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally
