Mechanical Applications Engineer, Cooling Systems

Mechanical Applications Engineer to bridge the gap between customers and the engineering team for industrial HVAC cooling solutions. Responsible for selecting equipment, managing procurement, preparing compliant quotations (including BOMs, TCO, drawings, scope of work), negotiating pricing, building customer relationships, and leading project plans with goals, schedules, resources, risks, and contingencies. Provides technical application engineering support, coordinates on-site service, represents the organization in technical meetings and site visits, tracks project status and documentation per quality processes, recommends product/system applications to meet customer requirements, creates and reviews electrical schematics and system diagrams, communicates technical capabilities clearly, and collaborates with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. Leads factory witness tests or equivalent acceptance testing, identifies value engineering options, and promotes a positive, service-oriented image. Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5-7+ years HVAC product applications, outside technical sales, and/or mechanical cooling experience; strong data center infrastructure knowledge; proficient with MS Office; strong presentation and communication skills; military experience highly encouraged.
