Job Summary
Provides Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering analysis and support services for Army and Special Operations aircraft and mission equipment. Responsibilities include developing/reviewing mechanical/aerospace analyses and test documentation for multiple projects, evaluating airframe components using flight loads, stress, thermal and aerodynamic considerations, designing feasibility and testing methods, ensuring quality through testing methods and fabrication/installation validation, performing engineering design evaluations, documenting functional requirements, analyzing R&D plans, conducting design reviews and briefings, and identifying risks and corrective actions. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering. Requires currency in CAD systems (e.g., Creo/Pro/Engineer). Security clearance: Secret or Interim Secret is required. Also involved are flight test support, instrumentation planning, and airworthiness-related reporting.
