Job Summary
Diagnose, service, and repair trailer equipment per repair orders and in line with XTRA Lease standards; perform safety and FHWA/BIT inspections; maintain parts and yard organization for a safe, clean environment; operate the service truck to service customer rentals at nearby locations; Monday–Friday daytime schedule; requires 1 year of trailer and brake repair experience, valid driver’s license, and own tools; HS diploma preferred; employer emphasizes stability and benefits under a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically on trailers
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on brakes
- Must be qualified to complete FHWA inspections
- Must have a valid and current driver's license
- One year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections
- Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems; general mechanical operation and body repair
